Eldon is no stranger to going the extra mile for customers and, when Siemens Building Technologies in the Netherlands requested a unique enclosure to enhance protection of its state-of-the-art fire detection electronic technology, Eldon’s can-do approach quickly saw a solution speedily delivered.

Customer problem solved

Siemens Building Technologies, one of the world’s largest producers of security, fire safety and building automation, approached Eldon for a reliable solution to help safeguard the sensitive electronics and components in its fire protection system. That was no problem for the Eldon Express Customization Center in Drachten that specializes in ensuring customers get on-the-spot help with fast machining and threading and knowledgeable experts.

The Siemens assignment encompassed creating a customized MAS enclosure with special holes in the mounting plate, assembled DIN mounting rails, glazed door and wire ducts. Siemens explained they needed a highly reliable, waterproof enclosure that would protect their fire detection equipment that quickly and reliably analyzes the main causes of fire such as smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide.

Eldon MAS enclosures with glazed door are the perfect wall mounting choice due to the wide availability of standard sizes, removable door profiles, earthing facilities, and easy to remove hinges and locks. But what also attracted Siemens was Eldon’s ability to respond promptly to a highly specialized request, thanks to its strategically sited Express Customization Centers.
