The main switch board fitted with a 1600 amp 3 pole air circuit breaker incorporates Type 1 & 2 surge arrestors giving protection against the effects of lightning strikes (Type 1) and man-made (Type 2).
A 400 amp ATS (automatic transfer switch) is connected to a remote generator in the event of a mains supply failure. The ATS panel also supplies three standalone UPS (uninterrupted power supplies) to supply the data centre essential loads.
The installation is to be monitored by a multi-function meter with RS485 communication.
