For your safety, we have created a product that includes two functions:

PRIMO APZ  simultaneously illuminates both the pictogram and the escape route.

Illumination of the escape route is possible thanks to the use of a lens with a flux reaching Φ = 234 lm, placed in the lower part of the luminaire (Pic. 1)

PRIMO APZ is one of the luminaires within the newest PRIMO family which includes:

• PRIMO APZ - surface mounted luminaire illuminating the space under the luminaire, as well as internally illuminating the emergency exit sign

• PRIMO AP - a surface mounted luminaire that internally illuminates the emergency exit sign

• PRIMO A - surface mounted luminaire illuminating the space under the luminaire

• PRIMO PPZ - a recessed luminaire illuminating the space under the luminaire, as well as internally illuminating the emrgency exit sign,

• PRIMO PP - a recessed luminaire that internally illuminates the emergencyexit sign,

• PRIMO P - a recessed luminaire illuminating the space under the luminaire

The PN-EN 1838: 2013 standard precisely defines the requirements for safety signs, commonly known as pictograms. The arrangement of safety signs should ensure the safe exit through and from the facility in the event of an emergency. At least one sign should be visible from anywhere in the building. The Primo APZ / PPZ 40 and AP / PP 40 luminaires are among the largest luminaires on the lighting market, where the evacuation sign is recognisable from a distance of 40 m. In accordance with the PN-EN 1838: 2013 standard for pictograms illuminated externally (such as safety signs attached to the walls) this distance cannot be greater than 100 times the vertical dimension of the pictogram, while in the case of pictograms illuminated internally this distance is doubled. The maximum viewing distance of internally illuminated signs should be determined from the equation:

l = s * h

where:

• l - viewing distance (maximum distance at which the sign is legible);

• h - height of the mark;

• s - constant: 100 for externally illuminated signs; 200 for internally illuminated signs.

An important aspect is the high luminance value of the luminaire - the Primo APZ / PPZ, AP / PP luminaire achieves a value of > 500 cd / m2, which distinguishes the product from others available on the market. This allows for very good recognition of the sign, which improves the evacuation process from the facility.

The metal series of PRIMO luminaires is available in various finishes:

• stainless steel
• black or white painted steel

The PRIMO series of products has an IP20 rating, which is why it can be successfully used in cultural facilities, hotels, or even in warehouses, where a dustproof ability is not required. Attention to every detail emphasises the highest quality of the luminaire. The luminaire will ensure safety in the facility and complements modern interior design.
