The Acanthus Pendant is the latest addition to Soho Lighting's ongoing collaboration with Historic Royal Palaces, inspired by the historical grandeur and decorative detail of Britain's royal interiors. Taking its design cues from the intricate acanthus motifs found within the ornate ceiling mouldings of Hampton Court Palace, the pendant reinterprets a classic architectural feature for contemporary interiors.
Each pendant is wheel-thrown in Cornwall and finished entirely by hand by ceramicist Funda Ersoysal of Studio Agni. Crafted using locally sourced clay from a farm with a rich pottery heritage, every shade is individually carved and shaped, resulting in subtle variations and visible marks of the maker. The collection celebrates traditional craftsmanship while bringing timeless character and architectural elegance to modern living.
