Third Generation of Classic Suspension System Launches

01-06-2022

An iconic product range which has dominated the suspension system landscape for four years has been re-vamped for 2021 with a series of new features to make installation even quicker and simpler.

Manufacturer, Gripple, has launched an extended range of its Fast Trak suspension systems to include a re-design of the brackets to increase versatility and standardising the bracket offering for use with a greater range of products.

Fast Trak is a pre-fabricated, trapeze bracket solution designed for speed, flexibility and efficient use of space and is widely used for the installation of electrical containment, pipework, ductwork and other mechanical services, particularly in restricted spaces.

Mark Kimberley, head of construction products at Gripple, explains: “Fast Trak has been one of our best-selling products since 2017 which we put down to constantly reviewing and revising how it fits in with our customers’ needs.

“Saving time and costs is always a key focus on any project and in line with customer feedback, we have developed a multi-tier bracket which is four-sided with suspension points on every face. This offers the potential to attach multiple services in any direction, which adds even more versatility for installers.

“The simplicity of the Fast Trak system reduces the labour requirement on site which is ideal in the context of current COVID restrictions, while also reducing the time spent working at height and removing the need for cutting and filing.”

The Fast Trak range was originally launched in 2017 and such has been the growth in demand for the product, Gripple has invested in a dedicated manufacturing site for the product, the company’s fifth manufacturing site in Sheffield, to enhance production capabilities. A UK manufactured solution, Fast Trak removes the stresses associated with the increasing cost of raw materials and subsequent availability of supply. Available via a nationwide distribution network, the solution is delivered in lightweight packaging, easing handling on site, as well as reducing deliveries to site.

Mark adds: “We’re focused on supporting contractors in speeding up delivery of projects, and helping them deliver more projects in the year. The simplicity of Fast Trak, coupled with the availability of Gripple technical support, installation design and BIM support allows us to do that effectively.”

Fast Trak has applications in the suspension of electrical containment, rectangular ductwork and pipework and where ceiling space is less than 800mm of construction and refurbishment projects such as residential and commercial buildings, retail, hotels, healthcare settings and transportation hubs.
