Metering Terminal Blocks

The Proteus 100A terminal blocks form part of our metering product range offering unrivalled performance and product safety. The versatile terminal blocks provide a quick and easy solution for making additional terminations safe for any application.

From introduction, our light grey terminal block, ETB5 has been widely specified within the metering industry for its ease of installation and generous cable capacity from 2.5mm2 to 35mm2. On top of this and another customer favourite is the use of a common 3mm hex screw throughout for a one-tool-tightens-all feature to aid the installation process.

To enhance the range and further ease the installation and maintenance for the electrician we added both blue and brown coloured versions for the quick and easy identification of line and neutral phases. This again proved popular with installers as coupled with the unique joining piece provided a neat and aesthetically pleasing addition to their overall install.

Thermoplastic cable grommets are available to ensure additional ingress protection when using smaller cables (2.5mm2 – 10.0mm2). These simply push into the outgoing ways that aren’t in use. The units are supplied with three blanking pieces if not all outgoing ways are required, and the devices are lockable using wire seals utilising the security tie recess in the front face of the moulding and the eye of the screw.

The most recent development within our metering range has been driven by customer feedback on social media. With grey, blue, and brown terminal blocks currently available we asked “Would a green terminal block benefit your installation?”. The response from our customers was encouraging, so much so that we will soon be launching the 4th terminal block within the range. Therefore, providing a coloured coded terminal block offering for line, neutral and earth cables.
