Securi-Flex Expands Belden Equivalent Cable Range with B2ca CPR-Rated Options

Securi-Flex has expanded its popular range of Belden equivalent instrumentation cables with the introduction of B2ca CPR-rated variants, giving customers access to higher reaction-to-fire performance for projects where enhanced fire safety is specified.

Meeting Modern Fire Safety Requirements

As fire safety regulations and project specifications continue to evolve, selecting the correct CPR classification has become an increasingly important part of cable specification. While many installations continue to use lower CPR classifications, an increasing number of commercial, public sector and high-occupancy buildings now require B2ca-rated cables.

The Construction Products Regulation (CPR) classifies cables according to their reaction to fire, with B2ca representing one of the highest classifications available for electrical cables used within buildings.
