IP4X turnbuckle trunking, is a steel cable management system designed to provide electrical cables protection against debris 1mm or greater. Recently here at Tamlex we have launched our brand new IP4X turnbuckle trunking accessories.
Our trunking range has been available for some time rated and independently tested to IP4X protection, this has been achieved via a separate IP4X kit, sold separately. This often resulted in a more complex ordering and installation process.
Therefore, our product design team have been busy developing ways to reduce installation time by combining the kits into the existing range and provide a stylish and compliant solution. As a result, we have now launched our new IP4X range which features an innovative integrated coupler and overlapping lid on accessories.
This small step in the accessory base seamlessly slides into the base of the trunking lengths, while the extended lid slots over the trunking length lid. The pre punched screw holes on either side of the accessory work as locators to ensure the system connects into the correct compliant position. This provides a much easier and quicker installation and an overall more aesthetically pleasing product.
A new snap-fit cover strap is available to keep the IP4X integrity on the trunking lengths by utilising our full height one-piece ‘U‘ shaped internal coupler.
The IP4X turnbuckle trunking incorporates our pre-fitted turnbuckle system which requires a simple quarter turn to create a positive lock fixing. This feature multiplied over many in an installation can save considerable time over the conventional fixings. Efficiency was the driver of this development resulting in a lock-in-place turnbuckle which is easy to use and provides a strong and secure fixing.
Our new range is available from 50x50mm to our oversized trunking sizes of up to 300x300mm as standard. This provides continuity from the previous offering and all sizes are manufactured in our Telford based Factory.
To ensure this system is as quick and easy to install as possible we have researched every detail including what screws we offer to connect the range together. The M6 universal screw selected also offers their own benefits such as anti-cross threading safety points, flange head to distribute the load and a pozi/slot/hex head.
This new and exciting range is the result of years of small product developments and tweaks to ensure the range has stayed current within the marketplace. This latest development is a proud and exciting jump forward to provide our customers with a fully compliant and comprehensive product offering.
