Elkay is a long standing and trusted energy saving switches and controls brand located in the UK.
Having a long tradition linked to Smiths Group in the 20th Century and latterly with ABB Thomas and Betts and Cable Management Products Ltd in the 21st century, it is now owned entirely by Brookvent (Brook Design Hardware Ltd) based in Belfast.
Brookvent and Elkay are energy saving brands and offer a wide range of products to the market.
For Elkay they have the Columbus range of Pneumatic mechanical timers or time lags, the top selling ceiling mount occupancy sensors, wall mount PIRs for the retrofit market, push button and touch time switches with distinctive blue LED locator rings, easyDALi PIRs, IP66 rated outdoor switches and stainless steel architectural time switches. Seen as the best range in the market for aesthetics and with the unique ability to switch 6A, 10A and 16A products that can handle loads at these amperages regardless of the load type totally avoiding the need for derating at the point of installation.
Other unique factors include the ability for installers to alter timing, sensitivity and lux settings on their ceiling mount products without the need for them to be removed.
Elkay now offer up to 6 years warranty on some of their products making them the most attractive from a specifiers point of view as they can specify Elkay with confidence.
Brookvent was founded in 1984 by an entrepreneurial engineer, who set a benchmark in the industry with an innovative ‘concealed trickle’ window vent. Since then, the ethos within Brookvent has been to invest heavily in R&D and continually produce innovative, Energy Saving Ventilation Systems. Brookvent has established itself as a leading supplier across Great Britain, Ireland, Poland, and Russia with a global reach including North America, Australia, New Zealand and China.
Brookvent not offer window vents but also a range of electro-mechanical heat recovery systems branded as aircycle. This Heat Recovery Ventilation system continually extracts from the wet rooms in a domestic home, boosting if necessary, and removing the pollutant air quickly and effectively at its source. This air then passes up through the network of ducting and travels through a heat exchanger where its heat passes to the fresh filtered air which is being brought into the property at the same time.
Elmex is a pioneer in the field of electrical wire termination technology and is now in partnership with Elkay. They have a range of fully certified products to ATEX, CE, UKCA, UL standards with their complete range of Din Rail Mounted Terminal Blocks and Solar Photovoltaic connectors and fuses.
