Team Sport Indoor Go Karting

When the UK’s largest indoor go karting company Team Sport Indoor Go Karting wanted to improve light levels and reduce energy usage at their circuits, they approached their electrical contractor WS Electrical Solutions for advice. WS Electrical Solutions worked in partnership with NVC to develop an appropriate lighting design for several of Team Sport’s sites including the one in Leeds which boasts Yorkshire’s longest indoor circuit featuring almost 600m of racing tarmac.

NVC’s lighting design proposed AZTEC, our IP65 rated, high-output LED circular, UFO high-bay industrial luminaires. This solution has reduced energy consumption by 250W per fitting cutting electricity usage and resulting bills by around 60%.

In addition, since WS Electrical Solutions installed the AZTEC luminaires, lux levels have more than doubled so the light quality is better and more consistent across the site.  The new fittings also require less maintenance than those that were previously used providing further cost savings.
