Megaman UK has supplied its Dino integrated LED battens to the Husqvarna Group manufacturing site in Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham to dramatically improve light output and colour rendering throughout the facility.   The Husqvarna Group is the world’s largest producer of outdoor power products and manufactures the well-known Flymo brand.

Specified by CEF Darlington, Megaman’s Dino luminaires were the preferred choice for the replacement of the existing 18W T8 fittings located over workstations and assembly lines in the Newton Aycliffe plant.  As light quality is an extremely important factor in any manufacturing or workshop area, the Dino fittings are perfect as they provide a 120-degree output and a wide light distribution with high uniformity at 70% lumens at 50,000 hours.  Other sections of the plant have also reaped the benefits of the Dino fittings, as the battens are also being used as replacement for 49W and 200W Lowbays in maintenance and storage areas.

Megaman’s Dino is ideal for a variety of applications, internal or external.  The fitting has a UV resistant and tough corrosion proof IP66 rated casing to protect against water and dust as well as being IK08 vandal resistant making it perfect for warehouse, factory and harsh lighting requirements. 

Dino is available in 19.5W, 22W, 35W, 41.5W and 36W variations, with the option to include a PIR Sensor, and carries CE Certification.  It also has a wire through feature making cable runs shorter and comes with Megaman’s 3-year warranty.
