NVC improves libraries’ lighting in Sandwell Libraries

Dodd Group has a strong presence in the West Midlands which includes being Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council’s preferred electrical contractor through the Constructing West Midlands framework.

Recent projects completed by Dodd Group for Sandwell Council have included renewal of lighting at two of its Grade II Listed libraries: Central Library in West Bromwich and Cradley Heath Library.

Dodd Group fitted 178 no NVC’s DALLAS stylish and robust IK06 surface/suspended LED luminaires at Central Library on the ground floor. The new Lighting on the ground floor is attractive with reliable fittings installed, that are covered by NVC’s extensive 7-year warranty and were available from NVC’s highly efficient supply chain to meet project timescales.

NVC also supplied the lighting design and it anticipated that the lighting replacements will generate cost savings at Central Library following the installation completed by Dodd’s.

Cradley Heath is a smaller Library and new lighting was installed in February 2022. 28 no DALLAS fittings were installed by the Dodd Group team, which has improved lighting output and the aesthetic character of the library
