Byker Wall

The Byker Wall development was awarded a prestigious grade ll listed building status in 2007, this required every fitting to be approved by English Heritage and Newcastle City Council. 

This process required one-off samples to be produced by Tamlex with regular site meetings between the manufacturer, electrical contractor and the governing bodies before any work could commence. 

The whole process from the concept stage, through to approval and then onto the final specification was completed within a short period due to the direct liaison between the manufacturer, wholesaler and electrical contractor. A large amount of bespoke trunking and fittings were supplied to the project.
