Deta is delighted to announce its relocation to a new 70,000 sq. ft, purpose-built facility on the Panattoni Park Luton development.
In January 2020, Deta undertook a fundamental restructuring of its business, integrating the Brackenheath, Briticent, SMJ and Deta TTE (formerly Stephen Glover and Top Tubes Electrical) brands under the Deta umbrella. In support and having outgrown its long-standing premises in central Luton, Deta took the decision to relocate to a new cutting-edge facility on the Panattoni Park Luton development.
Efficiency and simplicity have been a major influence in Deta’s decision to relocate, and the brand integration and new facility will serve to revolutionise Deta’s distribution and head office function for future years to come, streamlining and completing the customer journey from start to finish. Customers will now benefit from the dynamic effectiveness of dealing with one fully integrated business, from ordering through to customer support and distribution, all based and managed from one purpose-built facility.
Cutting edge facility
Covering an impressive 70,000 sq. ft and in excess of 11,000 pallet locations to support its extensive stock holding, Deta’s new head office and distribution centre is located in a prominent position at junction 11A of the M1 and benefits from excellent road connections, ensuring Deta is well positioned to maintain its excellent delivery service across the UK.
Office space of 10,000 sq. ft, incorporating a large open plan workspace, meeting facilities and an impressive showroom, provides an ideal setup for the ongoing development and growth of each of its core brands. It is a facility to be rightfully proud of and one that will be actively used to showcase its ever-expanding range of products, hosting new product launches and training seminars in collaboration with its partnering wholesalers and contractors.
Managing Director Gerry Barnett commented:
“This is an exciting move for the company and has been pivotal in enabling us to restructure and integrate our businesses, as well as simplify our processes for the benefit of our valued customers.
We are delighted to be working in a new, modern and cutting-edge facility. Our long-standing employees are committed and passionate about what they do, and I am proud to be able to offer the Deta team an incredible working environment that is duly deserved.”
Deta’s new image
Relocation presented the opportunity for Deta to refresh its overall image, to support the integration of its brands and reflect its position within the 21st century as a leading supplier of wiring, lighting and electrical accessories.
In Q2 2020, Deta will unveil its new company logo, packaging, point of sale and general literature with consistency, simplification and its valued customers in mind. A key development will include a catalogue re-design, combining and marketing all brands under the Deta umbrella.
Deta has also pledged to increase its digital footprint and social presence and will build an online community for its customers. A new and improved website is also on the horizon with the intention of simplifying the customer experience digitally.
New visions
Whilst Deta is committed to maintaining its position as the number one choice for specification products in the new build segment, ongoing product and business development outside this segment remains a key business objective. Deta has set its sight on becoming the number one destination of choice amongst wholesalers for a broader range of everyday products, whilst continuing to embrace new technologies and responding to the ever-changing needs of the market.
With additional warehouse capacity, the capability to stock products is more vital than ever for Deta. Its major investment into lighting ranges, expanding product offering and completing gaps in the education, hospitality, industrial and residential sectors are a key focus for Deta’s future.
Core values
Deta’s core values of quality products, ease of installation, service and support to its valued customers remains at the forefront of its vision. Deta is fully committed to maximising the customer experience whilst continuing to bring to market its ever-growing range of market leading products, designed with the installer and end user in mind.
“These milestone developments within Deta’s history have formed the basis for our new vision. We look forward to welcoming our valued customers into our new facility and working closely with them in the years to come.”
