16-07-2021
Publication aims to enhance industry knowledge to help with right choice of products and solutions
Altecnic, the UK's leading supplier of hydronic solutions and part of the Caleffi Group, has launched a technical magazine for members of the heating and plumbing industry.
The digital magazine, Idronics UK, will be issued twice a year, bringing a fresh look and industry insights from its in-house experts. The content will take an indepth look at technical plumbing and heating topics that affect the UK market.
The publication aims to enhance industry knowledge on a broad range of topics and solutions – getting right to the root cause of some common and not-so-common operating issues found in UK heating and cooling systems.
Ed Morris, Technical Manager, Altecnic commented: “Armed with a better understanding of a system problem, and a product’s intended operating principle, engineers are better able to judge what the right solutions are to design and install more efficient systems. “
According to a survey on product information by the Construction Products Association (CPA) and National Building Specification (NBS)*, although 89% of construction users read the technical literature when looking for product information, concerningly, some reported that they do not check the quality of the information, either due to difficulties doing so or a lack of time.
Ed continued, “We believe that increasing our customer’s know-how beyond the product literature and keeping them up-to-date with the latest industry thinking, empowers them to make better product choices.”
Altecnic’s Idronics UK magazine brings that quality information to members of the plumbing and heating industry direct to their inbox, saving them time and providing It from a quality, trusted source.
Gary Perry, Altecnic’s Managing Director, said: “Here at Altecnic, we want to provide learning and information to equip installers with the knowledge they need to do their job to the best of their abilities. As well as our online learning workshops and seminars, YouTube videos and phone and online support; Idronics UK magazine is our latest launch to provide our technical industry and product knowledge to our customers and beyond.*
The first issue is available from 1 December and will focus on problems that air in heating and cooling systems can cause and how to prevent them.
