KNIPEX launches Stripping Knife with Guide Shoe and Ratchet Function
12-08-2024
The new stripping knife (16 50 145 SB) from KNIPEX features a practical ratchet function that makes work faster, safer, and therefore simply more efficient. Even very hard cable sheaths are easily cut by the versatile blade, while a Guide Shoe protects the conductor insulation under the sheath.
The new stripping knife with guide shoe and ratchet function from KNIPEX (16 50 145 SB) can be used to safely and quickly cut and remove even very hard or tough plastic sheaths, for example on underground or connection cables, with a wall thickness of up to seven millimetres. The special knife is equipped with three different cutting areas: one blade segment is designed for a lengthwise cut by pushing, the other for a lengthwise cut by pulling or ratcheting. The ratchet function ensures less effort and more comfort when working. A further blade segment with an additional cutting edge enables easy penetration into the material during circumferential cutting.
The versatile, easily replaceable blade has a crescent shape, is stable and can be folded away for transport. It has four locking positions: When folded, it is safely stowed away; in the angled position, a circumferential cut can be made. In the straight position, it is suitable for both circumferential and lengthwise cutting work. The blade can be moved reliably when using the ratchet function. The new stripping knife sits comfortably in the hand thanks to its ergonomic handle shape.
A three-stage blade lock ensures optimum safety, and a tether attachment point for attaching a safety catch is also integrated. A replacement blade and safety latch can be purchased separately.
