Unicrimp expands wiring accessories range

Unicrimp, part of the Scolmore Group of companies, continues to expand its comprehensive range of cable accessories and has just added three new products – Nylon Meter Tail Glands, Saddle Bar Spacers and Catenary Kits.

Nylon Meter Tail Glands

The new 32 mm and 40 mm White Nylon Meter Tail Glands with Plug have been added to Unicrimp’s Q-Crimp Nylon Glands offering.   They are designed to house incoming cables on a metal consumer unit and provide the ideal solution to house incoming cables requiring entry through a 32mm or 40mm knockout due to their specialist grommet allowing fitment for 25mm² or 16mm² meter tails.

A blanking insert plug is also supplied as standard for optional use should no earth wire be present.

Metal Saddle Bar Spacers

20mm and 25mm white metal Saddle Bar Spacers have been added to the Q-Fire range.  They are the perfect solution for providing support and spacing between conduits and mounting surface and their use will help installers to comply with the 18^th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Catenary Kit

Having introduced Catenary Wire and accessories to its Q-Crimp portfolio last year, Unicrimp, part of the Scolmore Group of companies, has now added Catenary Kits to the range – bringing all the essential items together in one handy kit form to aid installers.

Catenary wire is used to create an overhead catenary to support pipes, banners, cables and lighting, for example.  The range comprises two lengths of 3mm galvanised steel wire rope (50 metres and 30 metres).  This is a flexible cable which has a 650kg breaking load.  Included in the Catenary accessories range are 3mm zinc electroplated steel wire rope grips – used to create loop ends or eyelets at the of the steel wire rope by simply tightening the nuts; 3mm wire rope eyelets; M8 zinc plated strainer adjustable rigging screws; zinc electroplated steel wire hook wall plates and zinc electroplated steel wire ring plates.

The newly launched Catenary Kits comprise 1 x 30m length of the 3mm steel wire rope, 1 x zinc plated strainer, 4 x 3mm steel wire rope grips, 2 x 3mm steel wire eyelets, 1 x hook wall plate and 1 x wire ring plate.
