New pre-punched holes add to Mini Trunking appeal
04-05-2017
Cable management specialist Marshall-Tufflex has made its popular Mini Trunking even quicker and easier to install with the addition of pre-punched holes within its 25x16mm (MMT2) and 38x25mm (MMT4) systems.
The punched holes are spaced 200mm apart to aid installation, with additional holes for compatibility with Firefly fire safety clips, which hold cables firmly in place in the event of a fire.
“The improvements to Mini Trunking have been driven by customer feedback and our commitment to continually develop and innovate even our most simple of product ranges,” said Marshall-Tufflex Head of Innovation and Development, Jeremy Dodge. “By adding punched holes we have made it even quicker for installers to fix Mini Trunking and easier for them to incorporate Firefly fire safety clips into the job, aiding compliance with BS 7671:2008 of the Wiring Regulations (Amendment 3) which requires cabling above escape routes to be supported by fire-resistant fastenings and fixings to prevent collapse in extreme heat.”
Punched MMT2 will be held in stock in white and red and MMT4 in white. Self-fixing versions are also available. These products are in addition to the Marshall-Tufflex standard (un-punched) and self-fixing (un-punched) Mini Trunking range. Firefly clips to fit Marshall-Tufflex mini and maxi trunking are also held in stock.
