A lighting refurbishment

As part of the Vita Student Accommodation refurbishment ahead of the 2023/24 academic year, Red Arrow were tasked with delivering an array of reliable, energy efficient luminaires for use in all areas of the accommodation building.

These areas include bedrooms, kitchens, corridors and service areas.

To fulfil this lighting upgrade, a variety of different Red Arrow products were used in each individual area.

Within the 56m tall, 16-floor student accommodation building in Sheffield, Red Arrow’s Rhombus CCT back-lit panels were paired with surface mount kits in both bedroom and kitchen areas to deliver even illumination throughout the rooms. The flexibility of selectable CCT with Rhombus CCT allowed for the colour temperature to be selected on-site to best suit the lighting design.

In the corridors, the low-profile Red Arrow Orbit Downlights was selected to evenly illuminate the area. In order to achieve the required emergency regulations, Red Arrow Titan X Emergency Kits and Athena Exit Signs were used across the bedrooms, kitchens & corridor spaces, seamlessly converting the luminaires to emergency operation if required.

Within the service area of the multi-story building, Red Arrow’s Weatherguard Plus was used to offer a highly efficient, IP65 ingress protected and corrosion resistant lighting solution.
